Well-cooked breakfast with local ingredients.
The room furniture was very tired and in need of updating.

The view of the nearby castle from my room struck me as a highlight—definitely a nice touch while sipping on a drink. The large TV was a pleasant surprise, making it easy to unwind after a long day.
The overall vibe felt a bit worn, with odd room arrangements leading to some annoyances, like the shower fluctuating from scalding to freezing. The breakfast area had broken furniture and a dusty ambiance that detracted from the experience. The lack of high chairs for little ones didn't help. Parking, while available, came with the hassle of moving every couple of hours, and returning to a loud disco atmosphere late at night was hardly ideal, especially with a baby in tow. The bathroom setup felt outdated, too, as the sink was on the opposite side of the room from the shower, which was inconvenient. the place feels like it needs a solid refresh to match the modern expectations many travelers have today.

Had an awesome time with friends! We loved exploring the gorgeous countryside and cycling through scenic trails. The rooms were clean and neat, and the hosts were super friendly. Just a heads up, parking can be tricky, but it’s manageable. Don't miss the local breakfast. it’s fantastic!
The only downside was that the bar area got quite noisy at night, which made it hard to sleep.

The hosts are incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to provide exceptional service. The breakfast options cater to various dietary needs, making it a delightful start to the day.
The room was a bit noisy due to outside traffic, which might be bothersome for light sleepers.

comfortable room but a little noisy
The family room offered ample space for my children to play, which was greatly appreciated. The staff went out of their way to provide us with extra amenities for our kids, enhancing our comfort during our stay.
The noise from the street was a bit disruptive at night.

Great view, but a bit rough around the edges
We stayed for 2 nights in a big family room with a lovely view of the castle. Staff were super friendly, and the breakfast was decent with some good options. Parking was easy too. But the place felt more like a rundown pub than a hotel, with a messy dining area and loud music keeping us up at night.

Family with children friendly
Had a really nice stay overall. The place was very dog-friendly, they even provided treats for my canine buddy and let him join us at breakfast.
It wasn’t exactly cheap but honestly it was still a good deal.

It was just a great match for a brief visit in Richmond with good price value. The breakfast was well cooked but the area had a dirty toaster, which wasn't appealing. Consider checking the cleanliness before settling in.

the breakfast was amazin! we had a fab meat pie for dinner, and the sticky toffee pudding was to die for. the vibe in the pub was great, loads of friendly locals and fun games like chess and snooker. perfect spot for a couple's night out. really enjoyed this place!
the room was a bit tired and could use some updates. also, no lift which made the stairs hard for us.
